A Call for Devolution

Devolution:

This is a call for devolution. A Devolution is: When the Federal government devolves (tranfers, returns, surrenders) power to the states and people; a transference of power or authority from a central government to a local government and/or a return of rights, property, or responsibility to another; especially : the surrender of powers to local authorities by a central government.

We do not really want a revolution. A Revolution is: An overthrow or repudiation and the thorough replacement of an established government or political system by the people governed.

The government and political system which was established and passed down from our Founders is the best system the world has ever known this side of The Garden. It bestows freedoms and liberty beyond the wildest imaginations of the rest of the world.

This "fundamental change" which is being forcefully hoisted on U.S. citizens and is violently twisting our political system is turning the U.S. into a third world country that is seen in Africa, the Middle East, and South West Asia. There, the governments are dictatorial, authoritarian, despotic, autocratic, and destroyers of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

We love and enjoy the form of government inherited from our Founders and a large majority of Americans want it back.

The progressive movement began in the 1890s and flourished through the 1920s. Theodore Rosevelt was the first progressive President (1901). Woodrow Wilson (1913-1921) reenergized the progressive movement after World War I and pushed for the League of Nations. Franklin D. Roosevelt was Wilson's assistant secretary of the Navy. Eleanor Roosevelt became a great student and champion of the progressive movement. FDR learned from the mistakes of Wilson and, with the help of Eleanor, became the next progressive President in 1933.

Most, if not all, of the things that grate against Americans and suck the life out of the people can be traced from Wilson through FDR to Johnson, Clinton and now Obama.

This great country belongs to "We the People" and we want it back. We can, and are, getting it back through devolution, not revolution.
