Don't know where USDA is measuring the inflation, but consumers have experienced about 20%. Ground beef went from $2.43 to $3.28/pound - 35%. Velveeta has gone from $4.70 to $6.50/2 pounds - 38%. This is from Dec 2011 to Aug 2011. (Trust us, we are from the government and are here to help.)
