Pre-Thoughts on "0"s Healthcare Speech

I really do not want to know what "0" plans are. My rambling thoughts are:

• Tort reform is necessary.
• Allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines is important. This is competition among equals.
• Portability is important. Whatever happened to COBRA? The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) provides for premium reductions and additional election opportunities for health benefits under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985.
• Why come up with super-Medicaid? It seems to be the problem.
• Medicare seems to work and lots could be saved if crooks and cheaters were prosecuted and punished.
• Why throw Medicare under the bus; repair it. (See above.)
